Candlelight Vigil for Lahore blast victims at Pak HC London

LONDON: To honour the memory of Lahore terrorist attack victims, and to express solidarity with their families, Pakistan High Commission organized a Candlelight Vigil in London on Tuesday.

In his remarks on the occasion, Pakistan High Commissioner to UK, Syed Ibne Abbas condemned the heinous act of terrorism and termed it an attack on humanity.

He said that the forces of darkness want to take Pakistan backward but the resolve of the Pakistani nation is far stronger than the evil designs of the terrorists, according to a message received here from London on Wednesday.

The High Commissioner expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterated the government’s resolve to completely eliminate terrorism and extremism from the soil of Pakistan.

Staff of the High Commission together with a large number of friends of Pakistan gathered at the Vigil to condemn this heinous act of terrorism and to express the resolve to defeat the nefarious designs of terrorists and extremists. In a horrific terrorist attack at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore on March 27, scores of precious lives were lost and hundreds were injured.
