ISLAMABAD: A reception was held here at the residence of Argentine Ambassador on Tuesday evening to bid farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of Argentine Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia.
Besides Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi and Minister of State for Education Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, the reception was also attended by a number of political figures, members of the parliament and diplomats.
Outgoing Ambassador of Argentina Rodolfo J. Martin Saravia, in his brief remarks on the occasion, said he was taking along great memories of Pakistan.
During his tenure of service in Pakistan, the Ambassador said he made friends and had been working to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
He said he had also compiled a pictorial book on Pakistan – “Bonds of Friendship” and it would be launched in Islamabad on March 22. APP
