Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan said the Bangladesh cricket team is ready to come to Pakistan, Waqt News reported. “We are in process of negotiation with their board,” he said while addressing a press conference.
The PCB chairman further said that he is not satisfied with the batting performance of the team.
“The chairman does not select the team. It is the job of the selection committee,” he said. “Our players need to learn from the Indian players,” he pointed out.
Khan added that Indian players Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli praised the bowling of Mohammed Amir, whose blistering opening spell made it challenging for India to chase down a modest total in the Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan.
He also pointed out that the board has shared their apprehensions with International Cricket Board (ICC) regarding playing T20 World Cup in India. “Sports and politics must be kept separate,” he emphasized.
While talking about T20 Captain Shahid Afridi, the chairman said that Afridi was made the captain of the national T20 side on condition of his retirement after the World T20. “We will decide that whether Afridi plays as a player or captain of the team.” Monitoring Desk
